The whole island, especially the southern slopes, is peppered with volcanic cones which demonstrate just how much volcanic activity has taken place in the island's million-year history.
The two most visited volcanoes of the island are the San Antonio and the Teneguía volcanoes. To reach them, you have to drive from the centre of Fuencaliente towards the coast.
